This is a personal blog post from our founder and partner Joanne.
Father’s day.
Maybe not as stinging as Mother’s day for the TTC community, but still difficult for the sweet DHs in our lives.
My dad died when I was only twelve. So Father’s day for me is bittersweet. My father-in-law just passed away earlier this year, so it will be hard for my hubby now too. Tis the facts.
I could sit here and try to give you the top 3 ways to cope through it, but the fact of the matter is I most likley won’t get it exactly right as hard as I might try. And there are some other really wonderful blog posts out there already. Here and here.
I will tell you what I am going to do. I am going to get up and make Matt and I some nice home brewed coffee with our new gadget that steams milk and tastes just as good as if you are sitting right there at Starbucks (it’s called the Capresso). And then we will enjoy the day and maybe play a little golf with the kids.
And at some point, I will look at a picture of my Dad and tell him I miss him.
