Detailed Description
It has been documented and researched that levels of stress can be extremely harmful to your baby throughout your pregnancy. Just as important as taking your vitamins, seeing your doctor and getting rest, instituting stress reduction techniques into your routine can help minimize the effects of anxiety, worry or other negative feelings and reactions.
Not only does our program do an excellent job at helping you reduce stress when used on a consistent basis, but it is also leverages our innate mind-body intelligence that may help you obtain optimum health throughout your entire pregnancy. Having one program for each of the trimesters allows us to tailor the visualizations accordingly.
Program Introduction
- Includes a short overview of the program and how it is designed to work.
- Suggested tips and techniques for optimum effectiveness.
First Trimester Program
- Deep relaxation of external and internal body parts and function.
- Using metaphor of a river, seeing energy in the form of blood-oxygen, nutrients and hormones, as unending and sent in the right amounts in a constant stream of health and abundance.
- Embryo implanted along with its healthy growth and development into fetus (arms and legs, fingers and toes, changing from embryo to fetus at 8 weeks, nerve and muscles begin to work together, 3 inches long at end of trimester).
- Seeing heart beat with a regular rhythm.
- Focus on inhale of oxygen and how that feeds your blood…exhale to let go of any stress or negativity, oxidants or other foreign matter leave cells, tissue, muscles, etc.
- Using a pleasant thought or smell to replace any nausea you may be experiencing.
- Emotional exercise: expression of gratitude, which is the most healing of all of the emotions.
Second Trimester Program
- Deep relaxation with special focus on warmth and balance.
- Using image of water as catalyst, feeling the subtle energy movement internally that allows for everything in perfect harmony.
- Special focus on “balance” – everything in its own time with just the right amounts (hormones, nutrients, relaxation, blood-oxygen, etc.)
- Fetus growth visualization: bone marrow starting to make blood cells, hearing and swallowing functions, and real hair growing on its head, seeing the fetus sleeping and waking at regular intervals, growth of umbilical cord, etc.
- Sending feelings of love to womb to feel a greater level of connectedness…
- Emotional exercise: the connectedness between mother and child and expression thereof…using gratitude again as healing emotion.
Third Trimester Program
- Deep relaxation through body scan techniques.
- Visualization of expansiveness…as body seems tight and full, counterbalancing those sensations with openness, weightlessness, and abundance of space.
- Relaxation for full-term delivery.
- Preparing body for delivery through the use of visualizations of how to use relaxation during labor and delivery.
