Help Me Get Pregnant!

in Fertility and Infertility Articles

From the moment you wake up to the moment you put your head to the pillow, do thoughts of booties, bottles and bibs occupy your mind? If they do, you’re not alone. Millions of women want to get pregnant. Some are able to do so more easily than others. For those who have trouble trying to conceive, “Help me get pregnant” has become somewhat of a mantra.

Are you one of the women who have been declaring, “Help me get pregnant!”? Is the one thing you want most in the world a beautiful baby to call your own? If you’ve been trying to get pregnant month after month, only to be crushed time and time again by negative pregnancy tests, there is some good news you’ll be happy to hear. A baby girl or boy may very well be in your future. You just need to understand what your body needs in order to conceive.

Put On Your Sherlock Cap

First and foremost, if you’ve been trying to get pregnant and have been unsuccessful up to this point, you need to figure out what is going on. At this point many men and women turn to a doctor to find out how to get pregnant. Let me tell you this… When you go to a doctor and say, “Help me get pregnant,” that doctor is usually going to approach it from a medical-only standpoint. This means tests (which are not bad in and of themselves). But what happens if the tests are inconclusive? And what if you don’t really need the fertility treatments the doctor advises? Isn’t it best to become pregnant naturally, the way your body was intended to?

The first thing I advise to women who are saying, “Help me get pregnant” is that they take a step back and take a look at the big picture. Look at everything and anything that may be getting in your way. The first step towards eliminating an obstacle is to discover it. How are your periods? Are they regular? If not, a hormone imbalance may be the culprit. How is your diet? Are you eating the right foods? If you want to become pregnant you need to make sure that your body is getting the nutrition it needs. After all, it takes a lot of work to create a baby. Your body might not cooperate with your desires until it feels that you are ready for it.

From the Inside Out

And that brings us to the body-mind connection. Your state of mind can actually impact your ability to conceive. If you’re running around the world at Mach 5 speeds, stressed beyond belief and not taking time for yourself, it’s time to take a step back and concentrate on you. You may not be able to put on the brakes completely, but ease off the accelerator a bit if you can. By combining physical health with emotional well being, you can increase your chances of conceiving the baby that you have been thinking of every day and night.

My boyfriend and I have been trying for 2 years to have a baby..and nothing isn’t happening. I am afraid it’s bcause I’ve had an abortion years ago. Which is something I deeply regret. I was too young at the time. I am;ways blaming myself while I can’t get pregnant. I was just curious as to what kind I doctor I go see and that can help me. I think one of my “callings” on life is to me a mother.

Hi! My hubby and I have been trying to get pregnant since May. I went off of birth control then and did not have a period. My gyno gave me progesterone to jumpstart a period and it did, but I did not have another one. We did another round of progesterone followed by 100 mg clomid for 5 days. We followed all doctors “instructions” and on day 21 of my cycle we did bloodwork. My levels were not consistent with ovulation. Should I continue w/ clomid, or focus on WHY I’m not having a period? (I had a normal cycle prior to birth control, ALTHOUGH, while on birth control I began exercising and lost 100lbs I continue to exercise 45 minutes per day 7 days per week). Thanks so very much!!

My wife and I have been trying to conceive for over a year now and have tried various alternative ways without success. We came across a website that helped with our struggle to get pregnant.
We are now in our 3rd month of pregnancy, and without the use of fertility medications! If you would like to check this website out go to: 75-specific-brainy-articles.com. I know we’re glad we did!

I just got married recently and we want to start trying to have kids. I used to have ovarian cysts. But then, after being on birth control for a couple years, the cysts went away. I gained a lot of weight due to the birth control and just not eating right. I now have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. I never have a period, and the only time I do is when I’m on birth control. Please help me get pregnant!

I really want to pregnant and ive been trying for almost 3 years now. My periods have been off a lot but I was pregnant once and it seemed so easy. I don’t understand why I can’t get pregnant anymore and it’s depressing that now that I’m ready it’s not happening. What can I do? What kindof doctor should I go to to find out what’s going on? Please help.

Joanne September 30, 2013 at 10:32 am

Hi Cynthia,

I’m sorry to hear what you are going through. Talking to your doctor is a great first step, they will be able to rule some health issues out and refer you to a fertility specialist. Stay strong! We’re hear to support you

I was on your web site. My daughter and son- in -law have been trying to get pregnant for about 6 years now and no luck. They have been to a doctor and she has been on clomid and still nothing. She said she’s not going back to the doctor because it costs them 400 to 1000 dollars every time she go’s. is there some suggestions that you might have for them. She is taking folic acid, vitamin C & E. I read some where that these will help with her getting pregnant. We don’t know where to turn.

Joanne October 31, 2013 at 4:12 pm

Hi Tina,
I would recommend for your daughter our Natural Cycle for Fertility Program. It’s designed for any fertility situation and any kind of fertility treatment your daughter may be taking. I understand how difficult the financial aspect of infertility can be, so maybe you can tell your daughter about YourFertilityDeals.com. It’s our sister site where we try to highlight as many deals and free resources related to fertility as we can find. Best wishes are with you and your daughter and son-in-law!
